IMAX Expands Showroom in Chicago

TULSA, OK – IMAX Worldwide Imports announces the addition of their new showroom in Chicago, Illinois at the Merchandise Mart. The 3,080 square foot space will be located on the 15th floor, and open every day. Grand opening festivities kicked off during the Chicago Gift & Home Market in January of this year, along with the company’s largest product introduction in its history.

Vice President of Sales John Haste believes that this will be a key in the continued success of the company at the Chicago show. “It’s a great time to be in Chicago - this new addition is part of our ongoing commitment to our customers to continually support their needs. We believe we can effectively tap into the cross-section of retailers in this region of the country – the profitably is endless, for both sides. Customers have asked for this, and we are finally delivering.” He went on to say that, “2004 has been a record year for us, and this development is simply a continuation of that success for 2005.”

This increase is just another part in the company’s major expansion over the last two years. In 2003, IMAX saw its showroom and trade show square footage increase by over 80%, including in 2004 a major expansion of their High Point, Historic Market Square location. They also opened a brand-new 200,000 square foot distribution/fulfillment center on the IMAX corporate campus in Tulsa.

IMAX President Al Bulak is also excited about the growth. “Continuing to meet the needs of our customers is something we are always striving for – it is the driving force behind what we do here, and we will do whatever it takes to serve our current customers and gain the trust of new ones.”
