Needham, Mass. Festival of Wreaths winners announced

A two-week Festival of Wreaths holiday show house in Needham, Mass. ended with a sold-out gala event at which winning wreath designs were announced. The wreaths were displayed at the Van Millwork showroom, transformed into a holiday show house by area designers, from Nov. 29-Dec.13. The third annual event included a silent auction and raffle benefiting the Room to Dream Foundation, dedicated to creating healing environments for children and adolescents facing chronic and debilitating illnesses. The Editor’s Choice Award, judged by Rachel Levitt, Home editor of Boston Magazine Group, went to Charise Perkett Glasson; the Designer Award, judged by a panel of designers, went to Karyn Koulopoulus; The Premier Design Award, judged by local and regional celebrities, went to Marc Silipo and Barbara Prosser; The People’s Choice Award (chosen by votes cast online at the Boston Magazine website) went to Christian Boyer. Christina Rivera was the winner of a wreath decorated and donated by Michael Ferzoco of Eleven Interiors in Boston, the decorator of the Tuscan Suite for this year’s festival. The Room to Dream Foundation focuses its services on children and families living in low and moderate-income urban and suburban areas. In order to complete each renovation, the foundation purchases all of the furnishings and supplies; every purchase is tailored to the specific needs of a child or family. Through a caring staff of professional and amateur artists, interior decorators, and volunteers, the foundation designs and transforms living spaces that give children and adolescents room to dream of a healthier future.
